I. Call to order
Chairman Sandy Peavey called to order the regular meeting of the Cable Advisory Committee at 7:00 pm on September 21, 2009 at Hingham Town Hall.
II. Roll call
Eric Connerly conducted a roll call. The following persons were present: Sandra Peavey, Jim Dellot (after 8:00), Katy Gallagher-Wooley, Amy Goebel, Eric Gauthier, Rob Kirk, Eric Dresser and Eric Connerly. Also present: town resident Peter McIntyre.
III. Open issues
A. Comcast Billing
a. The committee discussed various ways to persuade Comcast to correct its overbilling mistakes in the wake of the new franchise agreement
B. Selectmens’ Meeting 10/6
a. The committee assigned various tasks to members to prepare for the request to the selectmen to fulfill the town’s contractual commitments for providing public access programming and training.
b. The committee discussed various methods for assessing the town’s need for public access programming.
C. Government channel equipment
a. Mr. Dellot agreed to ask vendor Access Media whether both the government and public channels could be fed to Comcast and Verizon from a single server using Leightronix equipment.
D. Next meeting
a. The committee agreed to meet next on September 30, 2009 to prepare for the October 6 Selectmens’ meeting.

Ms. Peavey adjourned the meeting at 9:30 pm
