May 5, 2010
I. Call to order
Sandra Peavey called to order the regular meeting of the Hingham CAC at 7:00 pm on May 5, 2010 in Hingham Town Hall.
II. Roll call
Eric Connerly conducted a roll call. The following persons were present: Eric Dresser, Jim Dellot, Sandra Peavey, Eric Gauthier, Amy Goebel and Eric Connerly. Also present: government channel employee Kate Richardsson and town resident Pete McIntyre
III. Open issues
a) Verizon transmission
Ms. Gallagher-Wooley agreed to contact Verizon representatives to correct problems with their sound transmission on channel 29, as well as to request a drop at the high school for educational programming.
b) Education channel equipment
Mr. Connerly moved and Mr. Dellot seconded a motion approving purchase of Nexus equipment with a VHS deck for broadcast equipment in the high school up to $7,800.
c) Government DVD requests
Ms. Goebel moved, and Mr. Gauthier seconded a motion to set the price to obtain a duplicate DV D from the government channel at $10.
d) Board of Directors for public channel
The committee discussed various issues related to bylaws for the board of directors for the public channel.
IV. Adjournment
Ms. Peavey adjourned the meeting at 9:30 pm.
