May 12, 2010
I. Call to order
Sandra Peavey called to order the regular meeting of the Hingham CAC at 7:45 pm on May 12, 2010 in Hingham Town Hall.
II. Roll call
Eric Connerly conducted a roll call. The following persons were present: Eric Dresser, Jim Dellot, Sandra Peavey, Amy Goebel and Eric Connerly.
Not present: Rob Kirk, Katy Gallagher-Wooley
III. Open issues
a) Verizon and Comcast Channels
Comcast indicated that 97 was the likely channel for the Hingham public channel. Verizon requested a conference call with the technical people operating the channels – they have questions about the feed from the library to town hall.
b) Public channel supplies
Mr. Connerly moved and Ms. Goebel seconded a motion approving purchase of up to $100 of DVD programming (10 DVDs) from Linden ponds to air on the public channel.
c) Government channel equipment
AccessAV's quote came in substantially above the $10,000 estimated. The committee agreed to scale back the equipment request to stay under the authorized amount.
d) Articles of incorporation for public channel
The committee reviewed the proposed articles of incorporation of the public channel. Mr. Connerly moved and Ms. Peavey seconded approval of a motion to recommend the Board of Selectmen approve the articles of incorporation as amended. UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED.
e) Next meeting set for 5/26 at 7:30
IV. Adjournment
Ms. Peavey adjourned the meeting at 8:50 pm.
