January 16, 2007 Meeting Minutes

Chairman Andy Mooradian called the meeting to order at 6:04pm in the Town Hall Building.
The Draft of the Meeting Minutes from December 4, 2006 was approved.
Finance Director/Town Accountant Ted Alexiades presented the FY2008 capital outlay requests for Accounting/MIS.
FY2008 Accounting/MIS Capital Outlay Requests
• $50K placeholder for a Permitting software package requested by the Board of Selectmen to replace a Microsoft Access application written in 1994
The Selectmen seek to monitor permit throughput, enable better reporting from the Building Department, and implement online permit-tracking
• $67K for Information Technology assets
$50K for general IT capital expenditures
- $11K for core switch replacement/upgrade
- $23.75K for desktop/MS Office upgrades
- $6K for tape autoloader drives to increase backup capacity
- $4K for replacement of 3Com by Cisco switches
- $1.5K for spare telephones
- $3.75K for other
- A new request of $8.5K-$9K for audio-visual presentation equipment is being re-evaluated
$17K for the 2nd of four annual conversion payments to MUNIS
The meeting adjourned at 7:25pm.
