Back to Capital Outlay Committee Minutes
Present: Chairman Ray Eisenbies, Ron Kirven, Lucy Hancock, Ted Alexiades, Jonathan Asher and Andy Mooradian representing the Advisory Committee
The meeting was called to order at 7:37 PM.
The committee heard from Katy Gallagher and Sandra Peavey about Item 6 of the request originally presented by the Cable TV Advisory Committee on 7/15/09 to purchase and upgrade the equipment for the High School education channel. This meeting was prompted by the fact that the equipment is needed to be ready for the opening of the school year. The request totaled $27,629.
Jon Asher asked Mrs. Gallagher to provide a complete list of inventory at the middle school to the COC once the schools re-open in September.
The committee voted and approved up to $27,629 for the equipment as listed for the High School education channel.
Items 4 (Studio in a Box) and 5 (The wiring of other town hall meeting rooms) were not considered at this time. The Committee felt that those items were related to a policy decision for the Advisory Committee and Selectmen to discuss further.
Mrs. Gallagher did say that she did have the equipment and ability to record events for the 375th anniversary of the Town if needed.
