Member Richard Callahan has submitted his resignation from the committee, based on time conflicts with an education program he is attending.
Previous Meeting Minutes:
Minutes from meeting of January 9, 2008 were approved.
Articles Submitted to Community Preservation Committee:
Sturt English and Nick Amdur updated the committee on the two proposed items….
(a) An engineering study for a pedestrian bridge at the Mill Flow outlet (3A)
(b) Acquisition of the Old Salt marina.
Dana Baxter had a question about the scope of the intended purchase (marina only, not moorings).
Dredging:
Nick provided an update from Charlie Cristello. He is in contact with our state legislators for funding of the necessary harbor dredging. We will keep following this.
Dock Policy:
Sturt English and Chris Daly have been working with the Conservation Committee to establish a policy. This work may include a Town Meeting warrant item.
Town Floats:
Dana Baxter expressed support for improved town floats; town floats had been discussed at a capital budgeting meeting.
Whitney Wharf:
Jim Clarke pointed out there was a sinkhole at Whitney Wharf…. near the compass rose.
