Following up on our discussions in the May 2009 with Mrs. Beth Rockoff of the Historical Commission it was recommended that C. Daly review the notes on the HHDC’s findings on a memorial bench policy, as received from A. Ramsey, and forward via email to Mrs. Rockoff.

Inner Harbor Dredging:
N. Amdur advised that Assistant Town Administrator Betty Foley advised that the RFP for dredging services has been created and will be sent out shortly. Ms. Foley is also in regular contact to Representative Bradley’s office to assure that the funding from the state will be there when needed. R. Mosher asked about the process of the state actually releasing the funds and if all concerned parties were aware of any requirements and/or timeframes. N. Amdur confirmed that the Town of Hingham is putting out the RFP, not the DCR. But the DCR (Kevin Mooney) is still involved in the project.

Dock and Pier Policy:
C. Daly gave an update on the status of the Dock and Pier Policy and the status of a few pending pier or private dredging applications.
The Conservation Commission is still waiting to hear back from the DEP on the appeal filed by the 7 Howard Road applicants.
The Conservation Commission has denied the dredging applications for 21 and 23 Bel Air Road.

Harbor Planning Task Force:
N. Amdur gave an update on the Task Force. An initial meeting was held and also a site visit to Hingham Harbor was made by the Task Force members. Resident John Hersey recommended more picnic benches the Hingham Bathing Beach and again at the Iron Horse park. They have been used at the new East Boston waterfront, which was mentioned as well developed waterfront property. C. Daly made a motion to adjourn the meeting. A. Ramsey seconded the motion. A vote was taken and it was unanimous. Chairman Amdur adjourned the meeting at 8:11 pm.
