Meeting Minutes June 09, 2010
Committee Members Present:
Nick Amdur, Robert Mosher, Chris Daly, Alan Perrault, Bryan Sweeney, Ken Corson- Harbormaster
Meeting was called to order at 9:00 pm by Chairman Amdur at the conclusion of the joint Hingham
Harbor Task Force/Hingham Harbor Development Committee meeting (meeting minutes taken by the
HTF Secretary)
- Introduction of Justin Woollacott as new Committee member recently appointed by the Board of
Selectmen.
- The draft of the minutes for the May 12, 2010 meeting were reviewed. R. Mosher made a motion
to approve. The motion was seconded by B. Sweeney. A vote was a taken and it was unanimous
to approve the minutes. J. Woolacott and C. Daly (not in attendance at last meeting) abstained
from voting.
- Harbormaster Report and Discussion
- Harbormaster Corson advised that there are 230 moorings in place in the Inner Harbor and
there have been very few issues or complaints.
- There was a brief discussion about lobster pots in the federal channel.
- The World’s End moorings have been placed in the water and there are forty in total.
- Hingham Yacht Club, the Harbormaster’s office and CLE Engineering are having initial
discussions about a mooring optimization study for the HYC mooring field.
C. Daly made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Chairman Amdur adjourned the meeting at 9:25 pm.
This meeting was the last meeting for Nick Amdur after two terms of service to the Committee.
