Susan Bisignano, our intern for the past year, who is pursuing her MSW at Bridgewater State College, spoke to the Board about the importance of the Senior Center in our community and shared some of her experiences and ideas.
She worked almost 500 hours.
One project involved connecting with residents 90 years and older of which there are 275 in their own home. She noted that there are over 1000 residents 85 years and older.
She saw a need for some type of inexpensive transport/taxi service, as some elders may be unable to drive yet need to remain independent.
She shared some wish-list ideas for further meeting the needs of our 60-105 year old population, such as a walking club, ballroom dancing and a community garden.
Tom and the Board thanked her for her time and for her work.

Steve Waynen thanked everyone for their help with the successful concert on March 14.
