Status of Construction
Water Street will reopen today.
The tide gate has been approved provided that it is below grade and the cover is solid and bolted down. The work will start soon.
CBB requests that the Town finish the design of North/West/Beal Street soon.
Town's Concerns
Record drawing for sewer force main and manuals are still outstanding. Manhole cover is offset and needs to be realigned prior to final paving. David Polcari of CDM presented a letter on excessive infiltration at North and Central Street. There is a sag in the sewer pipe in North Street that needs to be addressed. CBB and the Sewer Department have agreed on a settlement. The Sewer Department is still waiting for the check. The odor problem continues Sewer Dept. will move vent pipe near to the panel.
Punch list continues. Major items remaining are largely related to sewer work. There is agreement by all parties on the outstanding issues.
Cliff Prentiss has produced a shop drawing for a grate design for the Town Brook to show DEP. Drawing prepared and has been provided to CBB. The Town has made a formal request to the MBTA.
There is a question about the location of the communications pole.
The quality of the catch basin covers is still in doubt
