Status of Construction

Work on the Talbot's pump station continues.  Some sewer force main work remains to be done.
Manhole for Town Brook near Hersey Street continues.  Should be done next week.
Town Brook is fully activated.  The drain on Main Street and by-pass of drainage at South and North continues.
Work behind South Street pump station on transformers and emergency generator continues.
Earth support work continues between South Street and Main Street west of Central St. and between Central and Main St.
There is a new archeological dig  between South and Main Streets.
Water line in Main Street was capped.  It will be turned on at end of project.
No right-of-way clearing work for next 3 weeks.


Verizon Update

The issues between Verizon and Cashman have been resolved.
Town requests that overhead lines on South Street be moved underground.  The Town requests an answer next week.

Town's Concerns

Inspection of Town Brook needs to be scheduled.
The Town would like to walk the line with the arborist to inspect the marking of the area to be cleared.
Town would like to see overall project schedule now that permits are in hand.
Camera inspection of additional sections is scheduled for next week.  Dave Polcari has requested a copy of the videotape.  Sewer representative requested copy of as-built drawing and record drawing of force main that was installed on Lincoln Street.
Dewatering bill still not paid.  The December 9th bills have also not been paid for work on South at Central.
Paving on North Street needs to be temporary.  A letter has been sent to Cashman proposing an approach to temporary paving.  The Town requests an answer next week.
Signs that were removed during construction were ordered.  Striping of crosswalks also needed.
Truck plan still needed for excavation material.  The estimate is for 15 trucks a day over a 3-month period, starting in May or June.
73 North Street requests repair of steps damaged during construction.
149 South Street is complaining about early starts at 6:30 a.m.
Structures in road need to be raised.
A grate is needed for the day-lighting structure installed for Town Brook.  This may be an environmental issue.
