Greenbush Coordination Meeting Notes
June 15, 2006

Status of Construction

Central Street should be opened soon.
Fort Hill intersection continues.  A berm is needed on the right hand side.  The road work will begin again next week.
Hull Street is complete for the moment.
Work has begun at the Fort Hill, South and West St. grade crossing.   The road will be closed for 3 months.
A tide gate alternative was proposed for the Station Street parking lot. An inquiry to the Town's engineer on the design has been sent.  A plan and cut sheet are being developed.  The Town has concerns about the design.

Town's Concerns

Kilby Street is being readied for paving. Fiore's work is very poor quality.  The Town will not allow the opening of Summer Street until the problems are solved.
Record drawing for force main and manuals are still outstanding.   Manhole cover is offset and needs to be realigned prior to final paving.  David Polcari of CDM presented a letter on excessive infiltration at North and Central Street.  There is a sag in the sewer pipe in North Street that needs to be addressed.  CBB and the Sewer Department have agreed on a settlement.
The siphon is complete.
The Town has received the checks for the North Street paving.
Punch list continues.  Major items remaining are largely related to sewer work.  There is agreement by all parties on the outstanding issues.
Cliff Prentiss has produced a shop drawing for a gate design for the Town Brook to show DEP.  Drawing prepared and has been provided to CBB.  The Town has made a formal request to the MBTA.
The Town raised the concern about the amount of dewatering going on in the boat sections.  No change.
The Town raised a concern about waterproofing of the tunnel.
The Town Fire Department has been training in the tunnel.  It has been going very well.
The Town renewed its request for a fire hydrant at the grade crossing at Eldridge Court as was shown in the original design.  Mr. McRae explained that since the intersection was not being closed, it was no longer required and was dropped from the plans.
Additional pavement is needed at North, West and Beal to allow right turns to travel unimpeded.  South Street also needs to be closed at Hersey Street to prevent the use of Torrent Crossing.
