Status of Construction
Natural gas line work on South Street will be done by next week. Slurry work will continue after gas work is done.
Central Street pothole work has begun.
Fort Hill crossing on the west side to begin June 24. This will involve a traffic detour. There will be a message board set up at French at Hobart to inform residents of the detour. Work will start on the east side of the crossing after the west side is completed. This will entail a permanent closing of Fort Hill at Fresh River Ave. intersection. This is expected to be on or around mid-July.
The west boat section work has encountered a great deal of water. No excavation work at this time.
Town's Concerns
Record drawing for force main and resolution of TV inspection at Talbots and sewer repair on North Street still outstanding. Manhole cover is offset and needs to be realigned prior to final paving. David Polcari of CDM presented a letter on excessive infiltration at North and Central Street. The potential charge to the contractor is $250,000.
Tree clearing is proceeding on Kilby Street.
The Town is still exploring the Town Brook easement.
The Town requires some additional information to size the siphon for Town Brook.
The Town has provided estimate for North Street paving. The Town requests an executed MOU from CBB.
Punch list continues.
Cliff Prentiss will produce a shop drawing for a gate design for the Town Brook to show DEP.
