A regular meeting of the Hingham Board of Health (the Board) was held in the South Central Hearing Room, 210 Central St. Hingham, Massachusetts.
The meeting was called to order by Mr. White at 6:31pm.

AGENDA
Thereafter, an updated agenda was accepted.
MINUTES
The Board reviewed the minutes of the 5/20/10 public meeting.
Thereafter, a Motion was made by Mr. Bickford and Seconded by Dr. Shilts and it was VOTED (majority, with Mr. White abstaining);
To approve the minutes of May 20, 2010 as amended.
REGULATION DEVELOPMENT:
Fats, Oil, & Grease (FOG) Pretreatment Systems
The Board reviewed a final draft of proposed FOG regulations that had been formally accepted by the Sewer Commission.
Thereafter, a Motion was made by Dr. Shilts and Seconded by Mr. Bickford and it was VOTED (unanimous);
To promulgate Fats, Oil, & Grease (FOG) Pretreatment Systems regulations dated 6/17/10, as amended, to take effect following proper public posting on August 1, 2010.
Furthermore, a signed/executed copy will be sent to the Sewer Commission and to the State DEP.
EXECUTIVE HEALTH OFFICER’S REPORT:
Mr. Capman mentioned the property developers submitted a retaining wall design revision that is consistent with the Board’s directives on this issue.
Mr. Capman described an upcoming training seminar for health department staff regarding the topic of work-place harassment and other employee policy matters. He added that even though a recent assessment did not find evidence of harassment within the department, he thought a training session would be helpful nevertheless.
Mr. Capman reviewed a 5/24/10 letter of commendation regarding a particular inspection.
PERMIT APPLICATION FOR LICENSING PIGS, STABELING OF HORSES, DOMESTIC ANIMALS
1150 MAIN STREET
The Board took up the matter of this 2007 permit application.
Thereafter, a Motion was made by Mr. Bickford and Seconded by Dr. Shilts and it was VOTED;
To enter into EXECUTIVE SESSION pursuant to MGL c.39, § 23B(3) at 7:10pm for a period of approximately twenty (20) minutes to discuss litigation strategy in this matter.

SCHEDULING
The next meeting is tentatively planned for the week of July 17th through 23rd, 2010.

The Hingham Board of Health (the Board) conducted an EXECUTIVE SESSION by unanimous vote in the Central South Hearing Room, 210 Central St. Hingham, Massachusetts.
The session was convened by Mr. White at 7:10pm.

PERMIT APPLICATION FOR LICENSING PIGS, STABELING OF HORSES, DOMESTIC ANIMALS

The Board discussed the 3/11/07 animal permit application by Mr. Michael Corey, 1150 Main St.
Thereafter, a Motion was made by Mr. Bickford and Seconded by Dr. Shilts and it was VOTED;
To accept continuance of the manure management plan approved on 1/19/06, as further amended on 10/23/06, conditional that it does not violate any facility standard outlined with the current Hingham Regulation regarding the Keeping of Animals and Fowl.

Mr. White stated that the matter for the executive session had been completed.
