The Board heard the following budgets:
Sewer Department
Public Works/Landfill/Recycling
Substation Expansion Program
Mr. Tzimorangas reviewed with the Board the plans of the Hingham Municipal Light Plant for expansion of their substation at the Hingham Transfer Station. The upgrade is needed to meet future load needs of the larger developments now on the drawing board or currently in process, such as Erickson Retirement Community, the Hingham Shipyard and the Blue Cross/Blue Shield building. The project will take eighteen months to complete and RFPs are due next week. Without the expansion the current excess capacity will have been exhausted and the Hingham Municipal Light Plant would not be able to meet the needs of its customers.
The Board heard the Country Club Management Committee budget.
Selectmen’s Reports
The Selectmen discussed the holiday luncheon for seniors that was hosted at the South Shore Country Club this afternoon by the Police.
