Mr. MacIver, Ms. Tully, Mr. Edmundson

 

 

The Advisory Committee joined the Board of Selectmen.

 

Dr. Galo presented an overview of the School budget process and assumptions. 

 

Mr. Killory presented the capital budget.

 

The School Department warrant articles were presented.

 

The Advisory Committee left the meeting.

 

Voted -            to amend the Traffic Rules and Orders of the Town of Hingham, adopted by the Board of Selectmen on May 31, 1939 and subsequent amendments as follows:

 

            TEMPORARY FOUR WAY STOP SIGNS

 

                        STREET STOPPED    AT INTERSECTION OF        IN DIRECTION OF

                        Gardner Street              Farm Hills Lane                        Northerly

                        Gardner Street              Winfield Road                          Southerly

                        Farm Hills Lane            Gardner Street                          Westerly

                        Winfield Road              Gardner Street                          Easterly

 

The above stop signs will make this intersection a 4-way stop.  This amendment will be in effect for a trial basis on one year to be reviewed by the Traffic Committee.

 

Voted -            to extend the lease on the property located at 109R Hersey Street through May 31, 2007.

 

Voted -            to send a letter to Treasurer Cahill regarding investment of funds for Other Post Employment Benefits.

 

Voted -            to grant request for counsel as submitted by the Police Chief.

 

Voted -            to appoint Jenni Denegri to the Fourth of July Parade Committee.

 

Voted -            to appoint Benjamin Matthews as an Associate on the Harbor Development Committee.

 

The board voted, by roll call vote, to adjourn to executive session, not to return to open session, for purposes of discussing pending litigation.
