Public Hearing - Transfer of the All Alcoholic Beverages License Hingham Bay Club The Hingham Bay Club has been closed due to the reconstruction of the Hingham Shipyard. The new restaurant planned by Samuels & Associates will be located in Building G40 of The Launch at Hingham Shipyard. The new restaurant will be 5500 square feet and have 278 seats. Construction will begin in May 2007, about 1500 feet down Shipyard Drive and will be adjacent to the public park and amphitheatre. The representatives of Samuels said this would be an important part of the entertainment district component. Mr. Edmundson expressed concern as to what type of restaurant was being considered.
Voted - to approve the application for transfer of the Restaurant Common Victualler All Alcoholic Beverages License of Hingham Bay Club, d/b/a Hingham Bay Club, 349 Lincoln Street to Samuels & Associates Hingham, LLC d/b/a Samuels & Associates Development, LLC, Larry Guilmette, Manager, subject to the approval of the ABCC. This license will be a six month license subject to review at the end of that time period.
Public Hearing - Linden Ponds All Alcoholic Beverages License
Mr. Tocchio explained that Mr. Ravagno was unable to attend the hearing this evening. The second community building at Linden Ponds is similar to Community Building #1. The building has the same type of mix as the first community building with a main dining room, a bistro (pub) and a catering operation for internal functions. The liquor license would cover all these operations.
Voted - to approve the application of Linden Ponds, Inc., John Ravagno, Manager, 300 Linden Ponds Way, to expand the Restaurant All Alcoholic licensed
Premises to include Community Building Two and appoint a new director, subject to the approval of the ABCC.
Voted - to award the contract for hazardous material clean up of Bare Cove Park Building Foundations 73, 75, 76, 78, 79, 171 and Ice House to LVI Environmental Services, Inc. in the amount of $398,000.
Voted - to accept the gift of Cheboygan Properties, LLC and Holly Nelson Radar in the amount of $10,000 and turn it over to the Historic Preservation Projects Fund.
Voted - to write to Senator Hedlund, Representative Bradley and MassHighway to request funds in the upcoming State fiscal budget for a design study of pedestrian and bicycle access around Weir River Estuary Park on Summer Street, George Washington Boulevard and Rockland Street.
Voted - to sign an agreement between the Town of Hingham and the IBPO, Local 520.
Voted - to grant a one-day liquor license to Paul Hart for the following events to be held at the South Shore Country Club:

Reports
Mr. Riley said that at the last meeting he had brought up the bylaw regarding the signs at the Back River LLC on Beal Street and that at Brewed Awakenings but they are still there. Mr. Cristello said that Mr. Morgan had spoken to Mr. Hastings the day after the last meeting. Mr. Edmundson said a letter had been received from the MBTA regarding the possibilities of a late train and asked for input from the police department and anyone else who has thoughts on the subject.
