Regular Session 7:30 pm
Mr. Riley, Ms. Burns, Mr. Rabuffo
Mr. Rabuffo thanked the Town for the opportunity to serve.
Voted - to appoint John A. Riley, Chairman of the Board of Selectmen.
Voted - to appoint Betty Foley as Clerk to the Board of Selectmen.
Talent Bank interviews will be held on May 14, 21 and, if necessary, May 22.
Ms. Burns noted that the Town runs on volunteers. She encouraged people to send in
Talent Bank Forms and to call for an appointment on one of the evenings set aside for interviews.
Mr. Riley said that the Selectmen would hold a goal setting session on June 10 at 10 am.
Selectmen's Reports
Ms. Burns attended Law Day at Hingham District Court. The theme was the rule of law and the program was quite interesting. Posters were done by 5th graders and essays were written by 8th graders. Mr. Rabuffo said he had been through the induction process and had learned about what the Town does for employees. He found this to be enlightening and encouraging. Mr. Riley commented on the participation at Annual Town Meeting. He congratulated all successful candidates and also thanked those who ran but were not successful.
Voted - by roll call vote, to adjourn to executive session for the purpose of contract negotiations and not to return to open session this evening.
