Mr. Paicos presented Mr. Toomey’s recent letter requesting an increase in his firm’s hourly rate from $150 to $175 per hour.
Voted - to accept the rate increase to $175 per hour for legal services provided by the firm of Murphy, Hesse, Toomey and Lehane.
Ms. Foley explained that the Trustees of Reservations had requested a letter of support for a grant application to the Gulf of Maine Council on the Marine Environment for funding for the Damde Meadows Tidal Restoration Project.
Voted - to send a letter of support of the Trustees’ grant application for funding of the Damde Meadows project.
The Board discussed the possibility of an amendment being offered to increase the amount of the override and worked on a statement to respond to such a request.
Voted - to recess the meeting in order to attend the annual town meeting and return to a board meeting Tuesday, April 28 at 9:00 am in the Town Hall.
Session recessed to join the Town Meeting at 7:00 pm.
