The Board resumed discussion of the Selectmen’s budget.
The Fire Chief presented the budget for his department which meets the goal of a 5% reduction.
The following budgets were also heard:
Emergency Management
Police
Animal Control
Dispatch
Harbormaster
Voted - to approve a transfer, from the Reserve Fund in the amount of $500 to the Assessors’ Revaluation Services Account.
Voted - to waive the permit fees for the Landfill tipping scale
Voted - to renew the following Entertainment Licenses:
Asian Fusion, Inc. d/b/a Asian C consisting of any combination of vocals, keyboard and guitar, for Thursday, Friday, and Saturdays from 8:00 PM to Midnight.
Eat Well, Inc. d/b/a Tosca for Jazz Music- Monday through Saturday nights from 7:00 PM to midnight.
Edward Kane, d/b/a Stars on Hingham Harbor for one or two entertainers, guitar/base player, two nights per week, excluding Sundays, 8:00 PM to midnight.
Voted - to accept the Consolidated Annual Financial Report.
Reports
Mr. Paicos reported that the tax rate had been certified. The state recommended that the overlay be increased to $400,000. The Board of Health voted to provide $10,000 for the South Hingham Sewer Study.
