Mr. Rabuffo said that as a result of the analysis done by Tarlow, Breed, Hart and Rodgers it was decided to continue the firm’s engagement and to modify the original engagement letter so that firm can continue to represent the Town at the hourly rate at $275. Murphy, Hesse, Toomey and Lehane will be consultants as necessary on matters concerning Hersey House.
Voted - to amend the engagement letter between Tarlow, Breed, Hart and Rodgers, PC. and the Town of Hingham to continue to serve as special counsel with regard to the litigation involving Hersey House. The rates and terms of engagement continue as described in the May 24, 2010 engagement letter without limitation as to hours.
Mr. Rabuffo explained that there is an issue relating to the Ward Street Fields application that was discussed at last week’s meeting. If this is considered to be a new application the permitting boards would have to start over; it it is a modification to the existing application the review process would continue.
Voted - to treat the Ward Street grass playing fields application as an amendment to the original Ward Street artificial turf playing fields application.
The request to approve a carryover of five vacation days for the Town Administrator was tabled until the full board was present.
