Traffic Improvements to Derby Street
Mr. Fernandes presented Coler & Colantonio’s proposal for design services and inspection services for traffic improvements to the Derby Street/Pond Park Road Intersection. He explained that, if approved, the plan would be to begin immediately because occupancy is planned for July 2011. Mr. Fernandes also noted that if all goes according to plan the 25% design should be ready around mid-October.
Voted - to sign a contract with Coler & Colantonio for engineering, environmental and construction management services relative to traffic control improvements on Derby Street at Pond Park Road in the amount of $143,200.
Voted, by roll call vote, to adjourn to executive session to discuss strategy with respect to litigation and to consider the purchase, exchange, lease or value of real property and, then, to reconvene in open session. The chair has determined that to discuss the real estate matter in open session may have a detrimental effect on the negotiating position of the Town.
