Mr. Rabuffo, Mr. Riley, Ms. Burns

Mr. Rabuffo called the meeting to order.

Resignation of the Town Administrator
Mr. Rabuffo advised that the Town Administrator's contract included a 60 day notice requirement. Mr. Paicos has indicated that it is his intention to tender his resignation once the contract negotiations have been successfully concluded with Foxborough. The Board agreed to waive the notice requirement. After discussion it was

Voted, unanimously - Upon receipt of official notice of Kevin Paicos' resignation as Town Administrator, the Board releases him from the 60 day notice requirement as specified in the contract between the town and Mr. Paicos dated January 12, 2009. This vote is contingent upon finalization of an agreement between Mr. Paicos and the Town of Foxboro.

Police Patrolmen Appointments
Chief Mills forwarded his recommendation for appointment of three police patrolmen based upon the results of background checks, police department interviews and interviews by the Board of Selectmen.
The Board concurred with his recommendation and

Voted, unanimously - that the Board of Selectmen, while acting in the capacity of Appointing Authority for the Town of Hingham extends to Michael Rockoff, Katelyn McLaughlin and Ryan Ross a conditional offer of employment as a permanent police officer for the Town of Hingham. This offer is contingent upon the successful passing of all required medical and psychological screening examinations and all other requirements related to, but not necessarily limited to the following:

A. Successful passing of the required medical examination;
B. Successful passing of the required physical abilities test (PAT);
C. Successful passing of the required psychological screening process;
D. Successful passing of all other requirement for entrance into the police academy;
E. Entering into a satisfactory agreement with the Town of Hingham relative to payment of the $2,300 recruit training fee;
F. Any and all other requirements as mandated by law or regulation.

The first day of employment will coincide with the next available police academy as determined by the Police Chief

The Board voted, by roll call vote, to adjourn to executive session for purpose of discussing strategy with respect to collective bargaining.
