Engineering Consulting Services for the Board of Health

The Board of Health of the Town of Hingham is requesting proposals ("RFP's") from qualified engineering firms for consulting services for a three-year period beginning on or before June 1, 2015

Copies of the Request for Proposal may be obtained from the Hingham Health Department office at Hingham Town Hall, 210 Central Street, Hingham, MA 02043 or by calling (781) 741-1466 beginning April 15, 2015 until May 18, 2015

The engineering firm responding to the RFP must provide separate price and non-price proposals. In other words, the firm must respond to all of the requirements of the RFP except for the hourly cost to be charged with applicants for the various functions to be performed. These costs must be submitted separately in a sealed envelope marked, "Price Proposal for Engineering Consulting Services Proposal."

Four sealed copies of both the price proposal and non-price proposal should be submitted by hand, or mail to the Hingham Health Department, Hingham Town Hall, 210 Central Street, Hingham, MA 02043 by 4:00 PM on May 18, 2015. Any questions should be addressed in writing to the Board of Health at the above address.

The Board of Health reserves the right to reject any and or all proposals received.

Bids must be kept open through May 18, 2015. Bidders may amend, modify, or withdraw their proposal provided this request is in writing received in the Health Department by 4:00 PM on May 18, 2015 and submitted in a sealed envelope marked, "Amendment, Modification, or Withdrawal of Bidders Engineering Consulting Services Proposal or Price."

The contract will be awarded on or before May 31, 2015 and supervised by the Hingham Board of Health.

G.A.R. Hall Roof Replacement

Per specification and contract document(s) and in accordance with MGL c.149 and c.30 & 39M, the Owner (The Town of Hingham) seeks to solicit bids for the Replacement of the Asphalt Shingle Roof at the Grand Army of the Republic (G.A.R.) Hall, 358 Main Street Hingham, MA. A 5% bid security (bond or certified check) is required with each bid. The estimated contract value is $38,000 (Thirty-Eight Thousand Dollars). The Owner reserves the right to reject any and/or all bid submissions when deemed in the best interest of the Town. There is no fee for the bid package.

Due Date for IFB:
All bids must be received no later than April 16th 2015 at 2:00 pm the bid opening will be at 2:01 pm on the same day. No late bids or telephone bids will be accepted.

All Bid questions must be submitted in writing. All bids must be made on the bid forms supplied, and the bid forms must be fully completed when submitted. Including any signed addenda that may be issued. Anyone receiving a bid must submit their contact information to the Town Engineer's Office to receive any addenda. The Town is not responsible for requests and/or addenda failing to be "sent or received" as a result of service failure, internet failure, electronic failure, or weather related events. If a request is made for a bid package and/or addenda electronically it is the sole responsibility of the prospective bidder to confirm their request and/or information has been received or sent. Do NOT submit bids electronically (by email).
