Revaluation of the Residential and Commercial/Industrial Properties

The Town of Hingham invites sealed proposals for qualified contractors to provide a revaluation of the residential and commercial/industrial properties in the town as of January 1, 2011 for fiscal 2012. Specifications may be obtained on or after February 24 2011 at the Board of Assessors Office, 210 Central Street, Hingham, MA 02043, or by email at nowlanr@hingham-ma.com. Proposals will be received at the Board of Assessors Office in sealed envelopes marked "Non-Price Proposal" until April 4, 2011 at 10:00 AM. Cost proposals must be in a separate envelope marked "Price Proposal". The Town reserves the right to reject any or all proposals. The contract will be awarded by the Board of Assessors. Aluminum Refuse Trailer

Department of Public Works (herein referred to as HDPW) utilizing MGL Chapter 30B, wishes to solicit bids and enter into contract with a supplier for a new Aluminum Refuse Trailer to be located at the town transfer station. The estimated value of the contract is $70,000.00 (Seventy thousand dollars). On 4/5/11 free bid packages are available on http://www.hingham-ma.gov and at the HDPW office between 8:30am and 3:30pm located at 25 Bare Cove Park Drive, Hingham, MA - 5% bid bond required. Bid opening scheduled for 4/15/11.

All bid proposals must be received no later than April 15, 2011 at 1:00 PM. No late bids or telephone, email, or fax bids will be accepted. Bid Documents may be obtained by visiting www.hingham-ma.gov, or by contacting the Public Works Department, 25 Bare Cove Park Drive, Hingham, MA 02063, at 781 741-1430. All questions must be submitted in writing.

All bids must be made on the bid forms supplied, and the bid proposal forms must be fully completed when submitted, including any signed addenda that may be issued. Any prospective bidder obtaining informal bid packages from the Town of Hingham website must notify the Town and provided there contact information in order to receive addenda and notices. It is the sole responsibility of the bidder to assure that the bidder's information has been received and recorded. An on-line downloaded Bid Spec is unofficial. If the downloaded document is used to submit a bid then you must submit your contact information to HDPW office at 781 741-1430 and email DPWRFPRequest@hingham-ma.com in order to be added to the bidders list. Signed addenda must be included as part of bid package.

The town has the right to reject all bid proposals. Please submit separate price and non-price bids.

*RFP's may be made available electronically, by emailingDPWRFPRequest@hingham-ma.com. Your email request must include all your contact information in order to receive addendums(s). Request for RFP's electronically must be made 48 hours prior to the bid opening. The RFP is available to be picked-up within the time-frame specified in the advertisement at the designated location. The Town is not responsible for requests failing to be "sent or received" as a result of service failure. If a request is made for an RFP electronically it is the sole responsibility of the requestor to confirm their request has been received. The Town of Hingham Department of Public Works, Hingham, Massachusetts will receive sealed bids for the Derby Street & Pond Park Road Intersection & Signal Improvements until 10:00 AM prevailing time, Thursday, March 31, 2011, at the Department of Public Works, 25 Bare Cove Park Drive, Hingham, MA 02043, at which time bids will be opened and publicly read aloud.
