The Town of Hingham is excited to offer residents an easy and convenient method of paying their real estate, motor vehicle excise, boat excise, personal property tax, and sewer use bills online.
Please see the FAQ's (Frequently Asked Questions) below.
The Town, in cooperation with Metropolitan Communications Corp., now accepts ACH debits (electronic transfer from your checking or savings account) for payment of tax bills for a $0.35 transaction fee. MCC is one of the fastest growing Municipal bill payment services in Massachusetts and we are pleased to bring this payment alternative to you in an effort to provide town services that keep pace with the needs of our residents. We plan to explore the collection of other town fees and charges through eBill in the future.
To make payments online Tax Payers must register on the eBill website, www.mcc.net. After the online registration page is completed and the account is activated, residents can authorize electronic transfers from their bank account or by credit card. The convenience fee for ACH payments (electronic check, payments made using a checking or savings bank account) is 35 cents - less than the cost of a stamp. American Express, Discover, and Mastercard charge cards are also accepted; the fees associated with credit card payment differ from an ACH payment. Please refer to the payment calculator found on the eBill website. To find out more information, or to make a payment, the town encourages residents to visit the eBill website at www.mcc.net.

Please Read the Following Before Paying with a Credit Card
Use of a charge card will incur a convenience fee. The convenience fee will vary depending upon the amount you are paying. After logging in, please check the payment calculator on the payment manager tab of the payment site before choosing this option.
The Town of Hingham receives only your tax payment amount. Any convenience fee and/or transaction fee will appear as a separate charge on your bank or credit card statement. |
